Data Capture/Conversion Technology
Your project is analyzed by
CPI’s technology team to implement the most advanced data capture
techniques to assure accuracy, productivity and quality. Our proprietary
software allows each project to be customized to your specifications.
- OCR/ICR/OMR technology for automating data capture, with human operator
verification of critical fields or data that cannot be reliably read
by the scanners.
- Integration with customer supplied databases
or validation lookups. For example, a health insurance claim is only
valid if the
patient is in the
database of eligible subscribers. An address is only valid if it
is included in the Postal Service database for a specific country. Data
from a customer
(such as a patient's marital status, dependents, employer, etc.)
is automatically added to an output file by extracting information after
matching the
patient policy number.
- Logic rules comparing data from two or more fields.
For example a sum of individual numbers must equal the total listed
in the document, or
a service date cannot be earlier than a birth date.
- File formatting
to export the output data to your system specification, including
multiple database files, ANSI formats, or output file types.
- Double/triple data entry (key-from-paper or key-from-image) – Data
is entered by two or three independent key operators. The results
are compared by the software and any discrepancies are corrected
after reviewing the
source document. For higher-level subjective decisions, documents
are routed to supervisory staff, or US project managers to determine
the correct data
entry.
- Workflow management and control that verifies and tracks each
batch of documents and output files for data capture (automated
or manual), automated
results checking, automated or human quality checks, batch
delivery.
- Web
based project monitoring where each batch of documents is verified
received, monitored through the data capture, quality checking,
output file production, and delivery process. You can access
the project
monitoring system through the Internet.
