Multiple customers hire CPI to capture data from warranty cards, BRC's (Business Response Cards), and customer surveys. Data usually includes a mix of handwritten, OCR and OMR characters. For manufacturers, CPI uses lists of available models and serial numbers to verify accuracy. Cards often contain customer demographic data, product information, purchase dates and locations. Many cards also include surveys indicating customer purchase preferences.
