Create searchable index for records storage. Texas-based energy pipeline company asked CPI to capture all data from index books to create a searchable Filenet database. The database allowed staff to locate and retrieve paper documents stored in warehouses (over 1 million boxes). The index included a hierarchy structure for departments, divisions, and service lines. Additional indexes included box numbers, locations and document descriptions. The client's tracking records, created over 50 years, included multiple forms and formats, requiring careful reading to capture data in correct database fields. High accuracy was achieved with double entry plus human proofreading and random verification.

Quantity: 50,000 index pages resulting in 750,000 database records.

Turnaround: Two phases of 12 weeks each.
