Insurance applications and contracts. CPI worked with an insurance company to scan, OCR, proofread, edit, reformat and save documents to PDF. After OCR, our staff reformats documents by realigning fonts, margins, paragraphs, bullets and numbers, and maintaining page integrity.

Create PDF files of articles from journals and magazines. A California web publishing company used CPI to OCR, proofread and edit, then save articles and books to searchable PDF. The projects include creating indexes by article, title, author, published dates, chapter heading and sub-headings. Due to the very high publishing industry standards, we use OCR and double/triple keying, plus human proofreading, to achieve near 100% accuracy.

Create Bookmarks for easy search of PDF files. CPI helped to organize large PDF files by examining pages to create bookmarks connecting to payroll and personnel records, labeling bookmarks by employee name and ID number. We used double entry and proofreading for high accuracy.

Technical manuals for aviation industry. The Publisher hired CPI to help create a database of technical manuals for aviation specifications. The project required scanning and OCR to searchable PDF format, and creating an index by capturing technical specification volume number, title, and revision dates.

Retail product catalogs. A large retailer asked CPI to zone OCR/ scan service catalogs, separating item pictures, graphics and text descriptions. Files were saved as PDF and GIF files. Staff then organized files for quick navigation by creating a Table of Contents with HTML hyperlinks.
